Harrington Food Bank schedule change Beginning July 7, the Harrington Food Bank will be open only the first four Saturdays of each month. There will not be any Friday food bank days. The commodities day will be the fourth Saturday, and home deliveries will be done on the fourth Saturday as well. 1 years ago The Odessa Record June 7, 1918 Swamp fever kills horses: Henry and George Gettman, well known farmers residing south of Odessa, lost seven good work horses last week while in pasture north of Krupp. The dead horses were discovered Friday and a number of others were sick at the time. Cruizin' Harrington The Cruizin' Harrington event last weekend drew a large crowd of visitors from the rural areas around Harrington, as well as from other nearby communities. There was food, a car show, a quilt show, rummage and yard sales and an FFA plant sale. The Harrington Athletic Booster Club held its First Annual Dinner and Auction last Friday at the Larmer Barn as 120 proud supporters of Panther athletics arrived at 6 p.m. to enjoy happy-hour drinks and began bidding on the many great silent-auction items donated by local businesses and community members.
