Terrea Lee Weishaar was born on March 31, 1953 in Odessa to Warren and Susan Weishaar. She passed away on September 4, 2016 in Spokane. Before her illness set in, Terrea enjoyed outdoor activities. Competitive downhill ski racing and Nordic skiing were her favorite winter activities, and in the summer she spent her leisure time swimming and water skiing. During college, Terrea worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor in Oregon where she attended Oregon State University....

The Titan football team took the field by storm in the Sausage Bowl game on Saturday when they annihilated Republic by a score of 60-6. The games started with four touchdowns in the first quarter. The Titan girls traveled to Wellpinit for a match on Friday, September 7, coming home with a win and final score of 3-0. The match scores were 25-23, 25-18 and 25-16. Maddy Wagner led the team with six service aces and a block. Ty Evers led offensively with 10 kills, while Shelbey Watkins had 14 assists and a block. Piano Lessons Heather Safe has begun the fall session of piano lessons at the Harrington Opera House with her returning students, as well as teaching three students at Christian Heritage School. Quickly and prior to the fall season of music lessons, former Mayor Paul Gilliland had a private moving company from Spokane transport his Yamaha M2-G Italian Provincial piano made of American walnut from his home in Spokane to the Art Room of the Harrington Opera House building. On August 18, 2016, LuVerna passed into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ, where she also experienced a glorious reunion with family that has passed before her. She was 96 years old. Born September 23, 1919, in Odessa, LuVerna was the only daughter born to Fred and Lucy (Diefe) Weishaar. She graduated from Marlin High School and married her high school sweetheart, Clarence “Bud” Buddrius on December 18, 1938. Bud and LuVerna raised two children, DeWane and Lonna in Harrington. The Odessa School Board held a budget workshop in the district office at 6 p.m. on July 27, with superintendent Dan Read giving a brief overview of the revenues and expenditures budgeted for each of the funds. Stolp visitors Dick and Bev Larson of Yakima came to city hall July 26, looking for information about the town. It didn’t take long for Ed Haugan to arrive to take them on a tour of the refurbished Harrington Opera House in the Bank Block of 1904. They were pleased to have been able to see it all.
