    Darlene Virginia Lightbody was born April 15, 1930 in Wenatchee to Harry and Mary (Kissler) Tompkins. She died July 10 at Eagle Springs Memory Care in Walla Walla. Darlene, known as "Dolly," spent her childhood in Hatton, Wash. She graduated from Lind High School with the class of 1948. Darlene married Paul William Lightbody on June 25, 1948, in Missoula, Mont.     A traveling circus came through the area last Saturday. An advance member of the group came through town the preceding Wednesday to put up posters and give out free tickets to business owners. Unfortunately, the Black Rock Road fire blew up and threatened the town the same day as the performance.     Irene Olson died peacefully at home on July 25, with family by her side. Irene was born in Wapato, Wash. on September 3, 1931. In 1946, she moved to Ritzville, where she married her high school sweetheart, Oscar Olson, in 1950. Irene excelled as a mother and housewife, while raising a family with solid small-town values.     Spokane – August 2, 2016 – Wildfires have sparked across the country including the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and western Wyoming.
