Davenport was named the best small middle school and third best middle school overall in Eastern Washington, while placing 42nd statewide.     DAVENPORT—The race between incumbent Matt Schneider of Davenport and challenger Don Staley of Deer Meadows for Fire District No. 5 Commissioner No. 2 is too close to call after three tallies.     DAVENPORT--Incumbent Matt Schneider has taken an ever-so-slight lead over Don Staley in the race for Fire District No. 5 commissioner No. 2.     HARRINGTON – City council discussed cemetery endowment funds and senior meals at its Oct. 28 meeting, which took nearly two hours to complete. There were questions on several items with Mid-County Senior meals. There currently is no contract with anyone as the city has been using an old agreement.
