Kathleen "Kathy" (Lobe) Andrews, loving mother, grandmother and friend to many, passed away peacefully at home on August 22nd, 2012 at the age of 69. Former Odessa Town Council member Kim C. Ramm narrowly lost her bid to become a Lincoln County Commissioner. In the final vote count taken on Monday, August 20, she trailed Alan Stromberger by only six votes. She had a total of 346 votes for 32.46% of the total. The ultimate in volunteer service came to the surface in August 1923, when Odessa’s first concrete water reservoir was built. The old tank is ready to be replaced today. It leaks beyond repair.
