    Town of Odessa: Jim Williams of the town crew installed LED bulbs in all of the town’s facilities. It was also learned that Avista has announced that it will also be putting LED bulbs into the town’s street lights in the near future.     Scammers are back at it, as they constantly are. Odessa’s Grannie BarBar is the most recent potential victim, but she had already heard about this type of scam and avoided falling for it. The caller claimed to be a grandson in need of money. When Grannie BarBar said, “This is a scam, isn’t it?” the caller hung up. Since the caller had addressed her as Grannie BarBar, she felt the scammer might be targeting the Odessa area.
