The time has come for the current owners of this newspaper to give serious thought to retirement. We have run The Odessa Record for seven years, plus the years spent working under the previous owner Don Walter. It has been mostly a rewarding and fulfilling endeavor, despite the weekly deadlines and hectic nature of the business. But the time has come to think about slowing down.
