    Over 75 adults and children in pre-K through fifth grade were present at the second “Unwrap the Gift of Reading” event which took place on Tuesday, December 2, at the Odessa School. The concept for starting a tradition of wrapping books up to be opened over the days prior to Christmas came from an idea the elementary teachers saw posted online last winter.     In girls’ basketball, the Odessa-Harrington Titans, like the boys, suffered back-to-back losses this past weekend to Davenport and Wilbur-Creston. In Friday’s game against Davenport, the Titans and Gorillas were tied at half-time and even managed a one-point lead by the end of the third quarter.     The Odessa-Harrington Titan basketball season got off to a weak start for the local team, with back-to-back losses this past weekend to Davenport December 5 and to Wilbur-Creston December 6.     Lloyd V. Tebow passed away December 2, 2014, at his home in Odessa at the age of 94. He was born March 15, 1920 in Lamont, Okla. to Karl and Edith Tebow. He graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. Lloyd married Marjorie Groh on November 16, 1952 in Odessa.
