Mo Sheldon, the administrator at the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center has announced that Brandon Lee, PA-C, has elected to move on in his career. “We will miss him at OMHC, but wish him and his family the best,” said Sheldon. Odessa residents have likely noticed a bit more traffic through town this week. It is what the Odessa Chamber of Commerce has dubbed "Bike Week," although this year there is no equipment show or any activities other than motorcycle races on the weekends at either end of the week. The Odessa Chamber of Commerce bought a new trailer for hauling the community float to parades and gave it to the Town of Odessa. They then requested that the town give back the old trailer, so the Chamber can sell it and recoup some of the money spent on the new one. These measures were approved by the Town Council on Monday, March 24. An offer has already been made and accepted to buy the old trailer from the Chamber for $1,500. After only two weeks of practice, the Odessa – Harrington Titan golf team had their first match of the season in Odessa against Northwest Christian, Wilbur–Creston, ACH and Davenport. Improvements made by Odessa FBLA members and the BLM's Chris Shafer include removing vegetation to widen the trail, removing rocks, smoothing out the ground to improve the trail tread and installing new markers and signs to make it easier to navigate. The Odessa Volunteer Fire Department held their annual consignment auction Saturday, February 22, in an empty lot on north Alder Street in Odessa.
