Bullrider honored; Fifth in the world

REARDAN - A Reardan High School graduate's skill and determination in bull riding have earned him a statewide award.
Justice "JC" Merriott, 19, was named Washington's Cinch Outstanding Athlete by the Washington State High School Rodeo Association. The award recognizes his standout performances and grit in the demanding sport of bull riding.
"It means a lot to me," Merriott said. "It makes me happy to see people look up to me, making a difference for the younger generation and being a good influence."
