End of Almira burglary case looms

Delayed for possible plea change

ALMIRA - The last defendant linked to a January burglary in Almira that netted multiple firearms, a safe, and a Jeep returned to court Aug. 12, where her case was continued as she and her attorney discussed changing her plea.

Thea Rose Wenz, 27, of Moses Lake, has pleaded not guilty to one count each of residential burglary, second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, and second-degree possession of stolen property.

Public defender Victoria Iverson asked the court to push the case out two weeks, noting that Wenz may change her plea.
