Spokane man faces child molestation charges

SPRAGUE — A Spokane man accused of sexually assaulting a child in Sprague will appear for arraignment later this month after requesting additional time to retain private counsel.

Nelson Olsen, 43, faces two counts of 1st degree child molestation-DV, both class A felonies carrying maximum penalties of life imprisonment and/or a $50,000 fine.

Olsen appeared Tuesday, Nov. 4, for a preliminary hearing in Lincoln County Superior Court. Judge Adam Walser set his arraignment for Nov. 18 and ordered a sexual assault protection order.
