  • Tax repeal would ease pain

    Don C. Brunell|Updated Oct 22, 2026

During the 1992 presidential campaign, Bill Clinton famously intoned, “I feel your pain,” reassuring voters he understood what they were going through. • Welcome to My Kitchen

    Laura Estes|Updated Oct 22, 2026

Doughnuts or donuts, were a traditional fall treat when I was growing up. Nowadays doughnuts and maple bars are available year round in supermarkets, and are not often made at home. There was nothing like coming home from school and the aroma of my mother’s homemade raised doughnuts, bubbling in the deep fryer, wafting out the kitchen door. Homemade raised doughnuts take a bit of time, but are so worth the results. Plenty of time between raising and forming to catch up on g...
