DAVENPORT—Last Thursday brought 4.3 measured inches of snow here, which was a Jan. 6 record since the National Weather Service began recording daily precipitation in 1893. The snowfall brought over half of Davenport’s January snowfall average in one day. DAVENPORT—It will soon cost a bit more to dump trash at the Lincoln County Transfer Station. Rates are set to increase 3.72% effective March 1. The cost increase is due to a rise in prices the county is being charged by its carrier, Republic Services.
