DAVENPORT--Power has been restored city-wide as of 6:40 p.m. The power went out here and along Highway 2 east toward Mondovi this morning after a substation regulator caught fire around 8 a.m. A crew from Avista was sent from Spokane to address the outage, which affected over 1,200 users and lasted over 10 hours during a cold Sunday in the city. DAVENPORT – Frigid temperatures, biting winds and some snowfall arrived in the area this week and are expected to last through New Year’s Day Saturday, Jan. 1.
