    DeWane Buddrius was born June 9, 1941, to Clarence and LuVerna (Weishaar) Buddrius in Odessa. After a brief battle with brain cancer, DeWane passed away on July 24, 2015, and went to his Heavenly Home. DeWane was a 1959 Harrington High School graduate. He married Carol Schultz on December 29, 1960.     The Armstrong surname is familiar in the Harrington area. There were probably three W.B. Armstrongs in their family charts, but there was only one "Sleepy," whose given name was Edgar Alan Armstrong. Sleepy was a son of George Albert 'Doc' Armstrong (1857-1945) and his wife Mary Eliza Goodwin (1860-1941). George's father was a large farm owner in Texas where he also owned a store and hotel.     The wheat harvest in the Odessa area is about 90 percent complete, and as most people suspected when harvest began, the outcome has been rather dismal. Overall dryland yields were down by about 40 to 50 percent overall, according to Mark Cronrath at the Odessa Trading Company, even lower than the initial reports at the beginning of harvest.
