Women’s modified fast-pitch softball tournament will be held Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19 at Finney Field. The tournament begins Saturday at 9 a.m., with play lasting until 7:15 p.m. On Sunday, play will start at 10 a.m. and end around 3:45 p.m. The league has grown to nine teams this year, after being down to only four teams two years ago. The Odessa School Board has adopted a proposal to offer all-day kindergarten to its youngest pupils next year (2011-2012) but only for four days each week.
