    CRESTON - Late Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputy Luke Mallon was remembered at a public Celebration of Life at the local school gym attended by many Friday, Sept. 22. Mallon died at age 40 at his rural Creston home Saturday, Sept. 2. He had been with the Sheriff's Office for nine years.     DAVENPORT - After a post-pandemic period of most local schools steadily or drastically increasing in enrollment numbers, that trend appears to have shifted for most area districts. In fact, Davenport is the only area district to increase in enrollment from the 2022-23 school year to the 2023-24 school year.
