    The 12th annual Friends of the Pool Walk-a-Thon was held April 30 and raised over $1,280 as of Tuesday. According to Suzie Deife, the organization's secretary, a total of 47 walkers collected pledges. Most of them were school-aged children, but participants also included others who ranged in age from one year old to adults who took advantage of the fresh air and exercise.     Odessa's Got Pink? Team was in full force on Sunday, April 23, for the Pink Ribbon Run, a fundraiser to benefit early detection of breast cancer. The Got Pink?     Washington state’s Poet Laureate for 2016-2019 is Dr. Tod Marshall. He lives in Spokane and occupies the Robert K. and Ann J. Powers Professor Chair of the Humanities at Gonzaga University.     ACH Dalton Kentner of ACH pitched a one-run complete game with nine strikeouts as Almira/Coulee-Hartline defeated Odessa-Harrington in game one of a doubleheader on April 18. Chance Messer pitched for the Titans, relieved by Camden Weber in the sixth. The 5-1 loss was attributed to Messer.     Odessa FFA members and ag shop students have been working tirelessly in the greenhouse this year. They started back in December, picking out the plant plugs and seeds to be ordered. In February the first plugs started arriving in the mail. As the plugs came in, they were transplanted into bigger pots, so they would have lots of room to grow. The upper section of the lake has now risen high enough that the water has begun to spill over into the lower section.
