HARRINGTON – The city apparently has a group of silent elves that eavesdrop on all the community meetings and disperse needed items to members of various organizations who continue to adorn the city with lights, garlands, a manger scene, Santa and other seasonal ornamentation. ODESSA – Elections were held at the Fronen Steppdecker, Odessa Quilt Club, November general meeting. Those elected were Lise ott, president; Dawn Nelson, vice-president; Debbie Buscher, secretary and JoEllen Wollman, treasurer. ODESSA – A group of volunteers assisted the Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society with putting lights on the large evergreen tree on its property. A crew under the direction of Marlene Kramer, current president of the Society, put the lights onto the tree last week on a sunny but cold day. A heifer calf was recently donated for a rollover auction at Stockland Livestock on Oct. 19 to benefit area ranchers who lost cattle and feed due to the Whitney fire. The heifer raised $1,550 that will be distributed via the Lincoln County chapter of the Washington Cattlemen's Association....
DAVENPORT-- For her senior project, Davenport High School student Amber Anderson worked to collect donations of new lifejackets for the city pool. Anderson, a lifeguard, was able to collect 13 lifejackets by putting an ad on Facebook, as well as putting flyers up around town.
