The Odessa High School chapter of FBLA delivered 553 meals to 44 local senior citizens as part of their community service project. Using $100 from Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU), they purchased supplies to decorate 200 caramel apples which they sold at various events throughout October and November. When the last caramel apple had been sold, they had raised $1,051.25 to purchase ingredients to cook the freezer meals. On November 2, 2017, the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office received a residential burglary report from a complainant who was in the State of Alaska at the time of the reported incident. Odessa police are investigating a suspected case of vandalism from October 26 at the main water reservoir on the south hill near the large, lit “O” also located there. The public works crew had received an alarm indicating that communication with the reservoir had been lost. The telemetry antenna atop the reservoir was found to have collapsed onto the roof.
