    Washington’s minimum wage will increase to $9.19 per hour beginning January 1, 2013, the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has announced. L&I calculates the state’s minimum wage each year as required by Initiative 688, approved by Washington voters in 1998.     On October 2, 2012 The Grant County Health District (GCHD) received confirmation from the Washington State Department of Health Public Health Laboratory (DOH) that the death of a Grant County woman was likely caused by the hantavirus. The woman was most likely exposed to the virus in her RV located south of Moses Lake. This is the second hantavirus-related death in Grant County this year.     The Odessa-Harrington Booster Club held its annual fundraising auction and dinner October 13 in Odessa. The event is held Harrington and Odessa in alternate years. Steaks were grilled by the Odessa Riders Club members and served buffet-style to the hungry crowd. About 130 meals were served at the event. All together, the Booster Club made about $18,500.
