    DAVENPORT—One Fruitland woman was killed and a Fruitland man was injured in a one-vehicle crash six miles north of the city on State Highway 25 Tuesday, Aug. 15. Melinda S. Curd, 53, was pronounced deceased at the scene after authorities ruled her red 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck left the highway at milepost 5.8, crashed into power lines and vaulted into an embankment around 2:57 p.m. Tuesday, according to a State Patrol press release.
