Marilu (Giese) Quast passed away May 20, 2019. She was born July 5, 1930 on a farm outside Odessa to Daniel and Minnie Giese. Attended Odessa schools graduating in 1948, attended Kinman Business College, and then worked at Odessa State Bank until her marriage to Lorus Lamar Quast on December 21, 1950. Lorus graduated from WSU in June 1952, and entered the army offering the opportunity to travel the world until retirement in Spokane in 1974. Kunkel, 27, of Davenport, pleaded guilty May 14 to solicitation to commit delivery of marijuana, amended by prosecutors as a result of a plea agreement from illegal delivery of marijuana to an underage individual. The charge involved a Jan. 10 compliance check by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board at Molecule in Davenport. Strohmaier, Judge Criminal Sentencings Timothy Albert Evenson, 31, pleaded guilty April 9 to third-degree escape in connection with his failure to report on Jan. 2 to begin serving four months in jail, part of his sentence for second-degree trafficking in stolen property that was handed down Nov. 27, 2018.
