The Odessa Memorial Relay for Life team will participate in the Lincoln County Relay for Life Walk to be held at the Davenport High School track with the opening ceremony starting at 6 p.m. on June 13 and continuing until 7 a.m. on June 14. Teams from throughout Lincoln County have been working to raise funds for this event, a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in its fight to find a cure for all cancers and help more people celebrate birthdays. At the district golf tournament at MeadowWood Golf Course in Liberty Lake on Monday, May 19, Harrington senior Madison Charlton of the O-H Titans finished in 7th place with a subdistrict score of 85 and a district score also of 85 for a combined score of 170. Teacher Grace Moeller and her 5th- and 6th-grade students mixed horticulture and civics when they transplanted flowers grown by Erica Whitmore's FFA horticulture class. The group met behind the Memorial Hall where the students learned to successfully remove the plants from their growth containers and place them into planters donated by local businesses and the city in previous years. Jance, Lee Child, James Lee Burke, James Rollins and Stuart Woods. Sage Hill On May 1, the Titans golf team took two, 2-man teams to compete in an alternating shot 18 hole tournament at Sage Hill golf course, hosted by Warden. The boys had a lot of fun playing the alternating shot format. The 22nd annual Spring Fling quilt show, hosted by Fronen Steppdecker, the Odessa quilt club, took place Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, 2014 at the high school gymnasium. It was reported that the attendance was up from last year's show. Over 200 quilts were on display for the two day event. Around 175 of those displayed were entries from quilters all over the region.
