Back on November 16, Kaedin Schorzman did an outstanding job at the Washington State FFA tractor driving competition in Moses Lake. He placed sixth out of 97 contestants, scoring 289 out of 300 points. This was the first time in a while that Odessa's FFA chapter has competed in tractor driving, so being able to take two teams and place sixth is quite an accomplishment, said FFA advisor HaLee Walter. A full complement of the Odessa Town Council met Monday evening under the leadership of Mayor Lois Hubbard. Odessa FFA members and ag shop students have been working tirelessly in the greenhouse this year. They started back in December, picking out the plant plugs and seeds to be ordered. In February the first plugs started arriving in the mail. As the plugs came in, they were transplanted into bigger pots, so they would have lots of room to grow. With over 1,000 plugs coming in over a period of a few weeks, the students were super busy, and the greenhouse filled quickly. Through February and March, many plants were started from...
