The Odessa-Harrington Junior-High Titan volleyball season ended last week Monday with a win over the Davenport Gorillas. The Titan varsity girls won in two sets against the Gorillas with Maddy Wagner leading the Titans with 7 kills and 1 block. Caitlyn Schuh had 5 assists and 2 kills. McKennah Davison had four aces using a jump serve that the Gorillas could not return. Overall, the Lady Titan had a great season, ending up with six wins and four losses. The Titans found themselves without a Homecoming football game this week when they received a call from Pateros to cancel. This game will not be rescheduled and is considered a forfeit by Pateros and a 2-0 win for Odessa-Harrington. At the October 12 meeting of the Odessa Town Council, members approved the final version of the airport lease agreement with Odessa Air Service. Public works director Rod Webster reported he had been in contact with the permitting agencies with regard to cleaning trees, non-native grasses and debris out of the bed and banks of Crab Creek within the town limits. As the beautiful fall weather continues to shine on us, the students of Harrington Elementary know its farm tour time. Each year about 60 children go to the Colbert farm to pet animals, harvest garden produce and learn how to make a profit on less than 20 acres of farm ground.
