Reardan's former police chief, Mikeal Suniga, was hired away from the city; he began his new position on April 1 in Ritzville. RITZVILLE — The Davenport girls fastpitch softball team opened the 2025 season with a doubleheader loss on the road March 14. SPRAGUE - A local veterinarian is helping some Ritzville residents care for an injured stray dog. The stray dog - dubbed "Evie" - appeared in Ritzville without a clue where she came from. SPRAGUE — Two duck hunters were found dead in Sprague Lake after their boat capsized Sunday, Jan. 12. The deceased were identified as Rock Dwayne Bass, 61, and Gary Thomas Myers, 69, both of Spokane. RITZVILLE - An Adams County Sheriff's deputy and a Washington State Patrol trooper arrested an Ocean Shores, Wash., man Dec. 30 after several reports of aggressive, violent behavior in both Sprague and Ritzville.
