Wayne Geissler died August 11, 2013, at his home in Davenport. He was born October 7, 1918, to Edward and Lena Geissler. He grew up in Odessa and attended school there. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served for over 25 years, being discharged as a Commander in the U.S. Navy. He farmed a little and drove truck for Huck’s Transfer for many years.
