The February 9 special election held in Lincoln County saw the school and hospital levies in Odessa and Harrington pass by comfortable margins. Of the 5,823 registered voters in 40 precincts, 3,107 had returned ballots by February 12 when the last count was tabulated for a voter turnout of 53.36 percent. Charles Lee Dahm passed away January 15, 2016, in Spokane. He was born March 13, 1936 as Charles Lee Wyrick. He became Charles Lee Dahm at the age of 10 when he was adopted by Harry and Ruth Dahm. Laura Hardt, age 98, passed away September 21, 2015 in Spokane. She was born July 30, 1917 in Edwall. Laura farmed in the Odessa area with her husband Bill and they were married for 72 years.
