Cruso Last Saturday evening, , Karen Robertson introduced Carolyn Cruso to a small but responsive crowd in the Harrington Opera House at 7 p.m.. Cruso excitedly announced, “It is a treat to be here,” and began playing. After she had played the hammered dulcimer for a few songs, she educated the audience as she went. Strohmaier, Judge Criminal Sentencing Scott Wayne Gage, 45, of Spokane, pleaded guilty April 16 to theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the taking of a vehicle from Whitman County between Nov. 21 and 26 of last year that was located near Sprague. Danielle Tebow of Odessa has made the honor roll at Spokane Community College. Danielle was one of 2,220 students on the winter 2019 honor roll at Spokane Community College. History Pioneer days must have been terrifying when a fire was out of control. One of the earliest recorded fires in Harrington was that of a saloon building owned by F.B. Wright that was totally destroyed by fire on a wintry January night in 1893. The fire caught from a defective flue. The building was a wooden structure and burned rapidly. Two men were sleeping in the building, F.C. Lee and Harry Long, and they were nearly suffocated by the intense smoke. The only item salvaged from the burning building was the piano. The... Full story
