    SPRAGUE—Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy Chad Cunningham received a large surprise while on regular patrol Saturday, Jan. 6. Around 1:29 p.m., Cunningham received a report of an abandoned airplane on the side of the road at Oestreich Road North and State Highway 23 between Sprague and Harrington. According to records, a note was left inside the vacant aircraft stating the plane was having engine problems. No damages were caused to the plane, and no crimes are suspected.     DAVENPORT —The Lincoln County Commissioners have until the end of the year to ratify the 2024 county budget, and plan to do so with three days to spare. The commissioners recessed their regular meeting Monday, Dec. 18 to Thursday, Dec. 28 in order to approve a finalized budget. The county usually faces a budget gap between its revenues and expenses.
