WILBUR – The Odessa boys registered their third victory in a row by defeating Wilbur-Creston-Keller twice last week in the Jan. 19 game at Wilbur by a score of 65-59 and in the Jan. 22 game in Odessa by a score of 52-33. DAVENPORT—Lincoln County has received a third broadband grant toward building fiber in local, small municipalities. This grant, courtesy of the state Broadband Office, is for $5,218,072 and will provide an eight-mile connection between Sprague and Lamont and a 13-mile connection from Creston to Hawk Creek. SEPTEMBER Two new practitioners began work at the Odessa Clinic. Russell Jones, a certified nurse practitioner, was hired as a full-time employee. Gregory Proulx, also a certified nurse practitioner, was hired to fill in for other providers needing to take time off. He lives in Texas, but has agreed to come to Odessa as needed. ODESSA – The 104th year of the Spokesman-Review Inland Northwest Trapshoot began Jan. 9, 2022, with the Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs again joining forces to participate in the oldest and largest shoot of its kind in the U.S. Trapshooters from Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon make up the participating clubs.
