    To the Editor: Last week, 21 retirees from Olympia spent three days in Odessa. We hiked through the coulees, looked at birds, studied geology, learned about local history, golfed and enjoyed local refreshments. Lake Creek Coulee has some beautiful trails. We saw lots of birds, panoramic vistas and enough rattlesnakes to keep us on our toes. We loved your town and couldn’t have been treated better! Onco III, 45, of Yakima, pleaded guilty May 7 to making or possessing motor vehicle theft tools, amended as a result of a plea agreement with prosecutors from second-degree taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission.     The Odessa Public Development Authority will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in the Guild Room in the lower level of the hospital. Of interest to the community will be a discussion of two bids received for purchase of the former biodiesel plant at Odessa’s western town limits, according to OPDA manager Stacy Rasmussen.     Submitted by Kelsey Scrupps The 14th Annual Friends of the Pool Walk-A-Thon was held Sunday, April 28, and the kids raised over $3800 as of Monday, totaling over $7,000 total counting sponsors.
