    On Tuesday, January 15, the OHS Tiger boys took on the Oakesdale Nighthawks. The Nighthawks tried to fly away with the win, but were unsuccessful. The boys grounded the Nighthawks, 56 to 46. “The Machine” was high scorer in the game with a total of 36 points for Ryan Moffet.     On Tuesday, January 15, the lady Tigers took on the Oakesdale Nighthawks in Odessa. Despite an intense fight the Tigers lost the battle, 53 to 34. High scorer in the game was McKennah Davison with a total of 9 points. She was followed closely by Grace Nelson with 8 points, Caitlyn Schuh with 6, Maddy Wagner 4, Ashlyn Neilsen with 3, Kenadie Elder and Emily Scrupps both with 2 points.     On January 9, awards were presented in the school cafeteria to members of the state champion Tiger football team. The team's quarterback Camden Weber received the Captain's Award.     The Spokesman-Review’s Inland Northwest Trapshoot competition completed the third of its eight weeks of competition on January 13, 2019. The Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs participate in trap shooting from their respective locations but combine their scores to form one team that is entered into the competition.     Replacing the 22 single-pane wood-frame windows in the Old Town Hall is the goal of Odessa High School FBLA’s current Window Campaign, says FBLA advisor Terri King.     Loren J. Totusek passed away January 8, 2019, at the Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center in Odessa at the age of 82. He was born August 1, 1936 on the family farm to Frank and Ruby (Hoover) Totusek. He was a member of the Marlin Presbyterian Church. Loren was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Odessa American Legion post and also participated with the Odessa VFW.
