With the passing of Barbara Bush this past week, it seems appropriate to share her recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies. During the 1992 Bush/Clinton presidential campaign a family favorite from each of the candidates wives were shared with the public. The Tigers played their frequent nemesis Almira/Coulee-Hartline Tuesday in Hartline, losing both games of the double header as ACH managed late inning hits to take a win in each of the two games. Both teams had been undefeated up to that point in the season. The losses put the Tigers in second place in the league, with ACH first. On Wednesday, April 18, the track and field team competed at Lakeside High School in Nine Mile against the following teams: Colfax, Davenport, Garfield-Palouse, Harrington, Lind-Ritzville, Oakesdale, Reardan, St. George’s and Wellpinit. Gary Seibel passed away April 14, 2018, at his home in Odessa at the age of 69. Gary was born April 21, 1948 in Ritzville to Henry and Coral (Wolverton) Seibel. He grew up in Odessa and attended Odessa Schools and always considered himself a member of the class of 1968. The cemetery is so lonely and forgotten looking – no flowers or fixed decorations, etc., the things that were put there with love and respect for the loved ones we have laid to rest there. The Odessa School District, in cooperation with Educational Service District #101, will be providing a Child Find Screening clinic on Thursday, April 19, 2018. The screening will be offered at no cost to children of concern ages three through five. By identifying children at an early age, we can better prepare for their future educational needs.
