The February 9 special election held in Lincoln County saw the school and hospital levies in Odessa and Harrington pass by comfortable margins. Of the 5,823 registered voters in 40 precincts, 3,107 had returned ballots by February 12 when the last count was tabulated for a voter turnout of 53.36 percent. Last week the Titan junior high basketball team traveled to Creston to take on the Wilbur/Creston Wildcats. The varsity created several turnovers on defense which lead to a 64-14 victory. The junior-varsity team played a hard-fought battle, coming up four points short with a final score of 20-24. Last week Thursday, the team traveled to Reardan to take on the Indians. Opera House Society The Society held their first meeting of the new year January 4, with new president Billie Herron at the helm.
