    Arley Bischoff of Harrington passed away July 2, 2019 in Spokane at the age of 78. He was born March 8, 1941 in Odessa to Matt and Mildred Bischoff. He grew up in Wilson Creek and graduated from Wilson Creek High School in 1959. He later married Myrna Wraspir on October 17, 1959 in Odessa. He worked for the Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years as a machine operator.     Last week the nation celebrated EMS week. Unfortunately, Odessa, like many rural communities, needs more EMTs. Washington’s smallest communities are among those being hurt the most. Rural areas typically don’t have enough volume to employ full time EMTs and therefore rely heavily on community members to gain the necessary credentials and fill the need by sharing response call with others who typically have full time “day jobs”.
