REARDAN—The school board discussed the need to increase pay for difficult-to-fill jobs within the district at the regular meeting Wednesday, Nov. 16. Sobotta reported the district has a hard time hiring and retaining custodians. REARDAN–Public works director Bob Winn, representing the town’s employees, requested a 4.5% cost-of-living adjustment increase at the town council meeting on Nov. 17. He presented data showing the proposed COLA would be in line with those adopted by other communities in the area.
