    By TERRIE SCHMIDT-CROSBY The Odessa Lions Club held its Crab Feed fundraiser last Friday night in the Odessa Community Center, where folks began arriving even before the 6 p.m. start of happy hour. As the early birds spent their time in serious attempts at achieving an "attitude adjustment" after a busy work week, Lions Club members were tending bar, setting up the buffet table, cooking the prime rib for those in the non-seafood group and organizing the Horse Race table.   • Trapshoot contest more than half way to the finish

    The Spokesman-Review’s Inland Northwest Trapshoot competition completed week 5 of competition on February 3, 2019. The Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs participate in trap shooting from their respective locations but combine their scores to form one team that is entered into the competition.     On Wednesday, January 30, the Lady Tigers played against the Prescott Tigers in Prescott. As predicted by this lady, our ladies did a fantastic job showing Prescott just how vicious the Odessa Tigers can be. Odessa won 76 to 32. Some serious teamwork was happening for our ladies.     Since starting for the Odessa High School boys basketball team as a freshman, Ryan Moffet, now a junior, has accumulated 2,000 points. Head basketball coach Larry Weber awarded Moffet a white basketball signed by all of his teammates to commemorate the event.     Monday night’s meeting of the Odessa Town Council provided closure of a sort to the story of Odessa’s $12,000 per month contract with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for coverage while the search for a new police chief went forward.
