    The Gorilla Classic volleyball tournament was held in Davenport last Saturday, September 7. The Odessa Tigers achieved an even split, winning two matches against Lind-Ritzville and losing two to Almira-Coulee-Hartline and Mary Walker High School of Springdale.     The FBLA National Leadership Conference was held June 28-July 3 in San Antonio, Texas, where 29 Odessa students competed in 13 events and brought home five national awards. The Publication Design team, consisting of Maddy Wagner and Tori Weishaar, placed third in the nation after having taken a fifth place at Regionals and a fourth at State.     The state track meet for 1B, 2B and 1A schools took place last Friday and Saturday at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. The Odessa track and field teams acquitted themselves well, with the boys 4xl00 relay team ascending to the top of the podium as state champions in that event.     On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, 16 students from four school districts traveled to Odessa High School to close out the 2019 STEM Gems Grant cycle with a presentation finale.   • Greenhouse management learned by OHS students

    Students in the Greenhouse Management class have been hard at work! Since the beginning of February, they have been responsible for daily operations and the needs of more than 2,000 plants. Students have learned how to properly sow tomato, jalapeño, peppers, marigold, basil and lemon grass seeds. They have learned how to propagate new plants from existing 'mother' plants and have successfully propagated geraniums, aloe vera, Christmas cactus, willow trees and philodendron.... Full story
