    The Spokesman-Review’s Inland Northwest Trapshoot competition completed week 8 of competition on February 24. The Marlin and Odessa Gun Clubs participate in trap shooting from their respective locations but combine their scores to form one team that is entered into the competition.     On February 11, the Odessa School District held its fifth annual academic assembly to recognize the accomplishments of its students. The program was held in the school multipurpose room. Senior class member Brenna Carstensen led the participants in the flag salute.     The OHS Tigers battled the ACH Warriors last Friday in Cheney. The fight was a hard one. The Tigers led by five at half time, but the Warriors managed to overtake them during the final three minutes of the game. Final score: 60 to 52.     Winter isn’t giving up easy this year. Soup season may last through April, and a good thing. A number of Facebook “Welcome to My Kitchen” followers shared yummy soup recipes, and I will never get to try them all before printing in a timely manner. An undergraduate student who earns 12 quality hours and receives a grade point average of 3.5 or better is placed on the Dean’s List.     The Odessa Healthcare Foundation generously purchased a Wander Management System for Quail Court via the 2018 auction. This system will help ensure the safety of residents as they become forgetful. Quail Court can issue pendants or fobs which will sound an alarm if a forgetful resident nears an exit so that staff can be immediately alerted to limit the risk of a resident leaving the facility without the ability to find the way back.     Near SOAP LAKE, Wash. (21FEB2019) – Four people were arrested during the raid of a Soap Lake area home well known for drug activity. The Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team served a search warrant at about 5 a.m. February 21 at 1289 Thomas Drive Northeast. The warrant was the result of a long investigation by the Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) into suspected drug activity at the home.
