SPRAGUE—Taxpayers are being asked to help Cemetery District No. 7 fund cemetery maintenance and operation expenses through a regular property tax levy on the Feb. 14 special election ballot. The levy would be collected for one year (2024), district commissioner Joy Vold said. Taxpayers would be charged approximately 28 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value for a total collection amount of $35,000. REARDAN–Brad Eylar was installed as a reserve officer for the police department at the town council meeting on Dec. 1. Eylar is director of security for the Reardan-Edwall School District. DAVENPORT—Schools closed and cars slid across highways in a record-setting snowstorm in Lincoln County Wednesday, Nov. 30. As of press time, anywhere from 6 to 13 inches of snow had fallen around the county. Reardan was the hardest hit with 13 inches as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. DAVENPORT—The most recent Lincoln County ballot tabulation conducted Wednesday, Nov. 16 indicated that there was a 75.13% voter turnout in this year’s general election with 16 ballots left to tally Monday, Nov. 28 before the election is officially certified.
