REARDAN--Mule Days was a very joyful event this year. The class reunion was well attended with over 350 people in the huge tent outside of Smith Gym. Because of the rain, fewer than half of the cars expected for the car show turned up. However, there were several beautiful classis that made the show worthwhile. DAVENPORT—The county commissioners passed a resolution adopting the Lincoln County capital facilities plan Monday. The plan lists projects that are needed and what funding will be required to achieve those projects, which include improvements at the courthouse, fairgrounds and jail. The first need listed included updating the kitchen in the jail. Cabinets would be replaced, and the dishwasher would be updated. This would cost $15,000 and be completed this year. DAVENPORT—A Ritzville man charged with fourth-degree assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident involving state Sen. Mark Schoesler last October was sentenced for one charge last week. Glen Roy Stockwell of Ritzville was convicted of fourth-degree assault in Lincoln County District Court Tuesday, May 24, but had charges of harassment and disorderly conduct dismissed, according to court records. Last week’s issue of The Record-Times erroneously reported the date of this November’s general election. The correct date of the election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. There were also errors reporting results of the Davenport and Reardan track team’s meet in Liberty Lake May 21. The boys and girls team results were printed inversely. DAVENPORT—A caller from Lincoln Hospital twice reported seeing a cougar behind the hospital Saturday, May 28, but authorities were unable to track down and vanquish the puma. Ardell Boleneus passed away May 14, 2022 at her home in Spokane, WA. She was born April 27, 1940 in Colville, WA to Jess and Clara Denison and was one of eleven children. Ardell grew up on the West End of the Spokane Indian Reservation and later married Mark Beardslee and they had three daughters Brenda, Glenda and Renda. Mark passed away in 1985.
