    OHS Tigers triumphed over the Tekoa/Rosalia Timberwolves Friday, November 2, at Finney Field in Odessa. The final score of the night was 80 – 6, but the Tigers held the whip through the entire game, not letting the Timberwolves score until the fourth quarter.     Neva G. Braun passed away October 30, 2018 in Spokane. She was a former resident of Odessa and a current resident of Spokane. She was born January 15, 1938 to Floyd and Ada Williams in Libby, Mont. Neva currently attended Hamblin Park Presbyterian Church participating in the ladies Bible study group, she also participated in their bell ringing choir for many years.     Northeast 1B League, South Division, All-League team members have been named. Included were the Odessa Tiger’s Camden Weber at quarterback and running backs Marcus King and Joshua Clark.   • Food bank, backpack program get supplies

    Volunteers Merleen and Gunner Smith and Stan Dammel make a trip to Ritzville each month to meet the Second Harvest Food Bank truck. There, they pick up food for not only Odessa's Food Bank, but also the Odessa Backpack Program. They generously donate their time and gas to make the school delivery, as shown in the picture, and also unload and put away the food for Odessa's Food Bank.   • Porcupine Bay road update

    Unfortunately, a new slide on the Porcupine Bay project occurred on October 3 and work has been halted on the east (downhill side) soldier-pile retaining wall. This work stoppage is due to slope stability and worker safety issues. Since we now have "differing site conditions," there is an ongoing engineering investigation to determine if additional work may be needed to stabilize the existing slope and/or east soldier-pile retaining wall.     The eagle eye of the Yakama Nation Eagles wasn't enough to spot the attack of the Odessa Tigers on Friday October 26 at Finney Field in Odessa. The OHS Tigers annihilated the Eagles, winning the game 95 to 6. Camden Weber had a stunning 219 yards passing with 7 out of 9 passes completed.     The Odessa Athletic Booster Club dinner and auction held last Saturday, October 27, at the Odessa Community Center raised over $25,000 for Tiger athletics. The community center was decorated in a black and white Tiger theme.     STAFF REPORTS The 48th annual Deutschesfest has come and gone. By early Monday afternoon, you would not know that a festival had taken place over the weekend.     Donald F. Burghard passed away August 31, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake surrounded by his family. He was born February 26, 1931 to Fred and Lilly Burghard of Ritzville, Wash. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1949. Following closure of U & I sugar-beet processing factory, he received his AA degree from Spokane Community College.
