The Odessa School District PTO recently completed their annual Butter Braid fundraiser. The money earned from the sale of the Butter Braids goes toward helping the Odessa PTO shirts for every student and staff member at the Odessa School District. Second-grader and young entrepreneur Lucien Iksic sold 47 Butter Braids, which was more than any other student in the elementary school. On March 29, the boys and girls high school track and field teams participated in the Connell Instant Invite at Connell High School. Odessa was the only 1B school present, in addition to 2B NW Christian (Colbert), 1A schools Connell, Medical Lake, Royal and Zillah and 2A schools Cheney, East Valley (Yakima) and Grandview. The Odessa School District, in cooperation with Educational Service District #101, will be providing a Child Find Screening clinic on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The screening will be offered at no cost to children of concern aged three through five. By identifying children at an early age, we can better prepare for their future educational needs. The Odessa Tigers took home a fourth-place trophy at the state B tournament in Spokane last weekend.
