DAVENPORT — A woman reported a former neighbor following her on the roadway and threatening her dogs Thursday afternoon. Rebecca Joyce Kent, of Ross Street, called deputies about 4:45 p.m. Aug. 6 and said Walter Kenneth Parks, who drives a black 2012 Jeep Wrangler, has been stalking and harassing her, the report said. DAVENPORT — A man reported fearing blackmail after sending compromising videos and pictures of himself through a messaging app Sunday evening, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office records. DAVENPORT — Farmers can apply next month for grants reimbursing up to 85% of the cost of climate-smart equipment. The Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant opens for applications at 8 a.m. Sept. 4. ODESSA — Poor air quality from wildfire smoke prompted the town to close its swimming pool for several days.
